It is our prayer that Mission Haven Rediemed Foundation, Inc. share concrete examples through our testimony, actions, and service that share the love and grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We want the world to experience Him and the power of His redeeming grace.
His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8). He does more than we could ever ask, hope, dream, or imagine when our lives are surrendered to His divine working power and we are connected to the Holy Spirit to receive His anointing. God never promised in scripture that He will not ever give us more than we can bear. However, He did promise to walk with us (Psalm 23:4; Isaiah 41:10). He also promises that in our weakness he makes us strong (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). The one guarantee we have is the promise of eternity without pain and sorrow when we surrender our lives to Christ (Revelation 21:1-4). We want to share this message with as many people as we can, one meaningful encounter at a time.
There is no telling what Christ can do through us to advance His kingdom when our lives are surrendered to Him and the call on our lives. We pray that you will partner with us as we journey sharing Christ with the world.
In His Service,
The JAM! (Joe and Abi Matos)
Our hearts transformed by Christ seek opportunities to show and share the love and grace of Christ through actions that spark desire in others which lead them to the foot of the cross.
Philippians 1:9-10
We are individuals who are leading with our transformed hearts to share the extravagant love and grace of Christ one encounter at a time.

April: Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) “It wasn’t my fantasy!”
April: Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) “It wasn’t my fantasy!” April is sexual assault awareness month. As a society, we say those words, and most people shy away from the topic. It is likely more accepted due to the recent “Me Too” Movement, but even then, there are spectators and judges of that movement. Yet, only 2 to 10 percent of outcries are false according to National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) (Statitics, n.d.). In fact, every 68 seconds a person is being sexually assaulted in America (Victims of sexual violence: Statistics. (n.d.). According to NSVRC, 1 out of 5 …
Servant of the Healer, my LORD!
A year ago tonight, Saturday by day, March 25 by date, I realized I had been miraculously healed. I did not know the extent of it yet, but I knew I was healed. My oxygen saturation was 100% on room air! My resting heart rate had dropped to 64 beats per minute. I would go to church the next morning and see I could sing at the top of my lungs and jump up and down, and my heart rate would only be in the 70’s with an oxygen saturation of 99%. Why would God grant me a miracle? I …
Trusting The Healer In Grief
The first of every month, I am usually prepared for what I will say. I have it ready to send to the Web Designer, and I am so confident in the published work, but not this month. You see, Momma J, my mother-in-law, but my mommy, passed away on November 8th at 5:05 am. My daughter then was married November 11th at 5:00 pm. Grief is complex and funny in that we can say the word, and we have all experienced it because it is so universal; our bodies instantly know the feeling of loss, and yet so individual because …
Christ Redeems
Today was a worship service with a sprinkle of a wedding. I pray all who attended and those reading this blog know the extent of Christ’s love and grace. I pray that Joe and I provided concrete examples through our testimony of His love and grace, and the power of redemption. His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8). He does more than we could ever ask, hope, dream or imagine when our lives are surrendered to His divine working power and we are connected to the Holy Spirit to receive His anointing. …
Worship and Thanksgiving to The Healer!
I pray that the video from Honduras blessed you (posted to last month’s blog). Last month you all learned I am not a professional dancer. I started learning dance in April so I could take the dance in Spanish with me to the precious beings in Honduras. Since my miracle, I have also started singing. Again, I am no singer, my children and Joe can give you a strong assurance of that. However, Jesus stated in Luke 19:40, “If they kept quiet, the stones would do it for them, shouting praise” (MSG). Just like the crippled man that was healed by …
When The Healer Heals
Many if not all of you know, I was healed from post-COVID complications after a long, greater than two-and-a-half year journey on March 25, 2023, when a very simple but powerful prayer was prayed, at a jewelry store no less. A conversation I had many times with Christ in my prayers was the desire to go on medical mission trips and how I couldn’t be attached to oxygen full time. In addition, severe anaphylactic reactions to tropical fruit, avocado, and latex kept the idea of Latin American countries out of the question. But God…He showed up and showed out, and …
